ONLINE TRAINING FOR YOUNG PIANO TEACHERS
Most piano teachers learn their trade by trial and error over a period of many years. It is rare for a young musician to receive the proper training to run a successful private studio. Partly because while in college young pianists dedicate all their efforts in pursuing a successful performing career while planning for a full-time college teaching position as a backup plan. However, neither of those two goals is ever reached by many. That leaves the young pianist scrambling to figure out the next best option. Sooner or later, the decision to go into private teaching is made, either at a local music school or at their own studio.
My training for young piano teachers is designed to reduce the period of trial-and-error and provide young teachers with the necessary tools and skills to run a successful enterprise and feel great about their profession. Over the years I have trained pianists as young as 14 years old helping them start their own studio business and enjoy the steady flow of income that results from a reputable private practice.
I have offered my TEACHER TRAINING SEMINAR in high school and college settings as shown in the pictures, however, the private sessions offer additional advantages which can accelerate the learning process.
The training is organized into FIVE SESSIONS, covering the different areas of growth required for the young teacher to accomplish his/her professional and financial goals. These sessions are entitled:
1. Vocational Questions to Ask Ourselves.
2. My Lesson Planning
3. Studio Policies
4. Goals, Practice and Performance
5. Developing Relationships
The basic fee for the training is $500, which can be split into $100 per session. It is recommended to take the five sessions within one month. However, exceptions can be made and increased to two months. The training can also be made in SPANISH.
A free interview is offered to interested students and/or parents who wish to find out if this training is for them.
